Dear friends,

In recent weeks, after I suggested on this group to retain the impulsive related to abrupt changes of regimes in Tunisia and Egypt, the probable change of plans in Yemen, and Libya Barheim, the possible changes of government in Algeria, Syria, Jordan and Oman, followed the news During his great speed V.

The challenge for this group is to go beyond the strictly speech events (to use an expression dear to Ali Abdoulaye Diallo of Mali). It is easy to attribute the causes of events in the `devils' previously identified. But that does not help anyone to learn from the management public policy in his country.

And remember, this is the goal of this group assist in the management of the state.

Formulate the question seems difficult. But try this: what are the factors that led thousands of people to reject the government's national policy of Tunisia, the government of Egypt and bring thousands of people in the streets of Sana'a and Manama?

Why ask? Because if you are responsible for health in the DRC (or any other sector in another country), you must ask yourself how partners will react, union members, managers and leaders of civil society in public policy that you propose for your area. These factors act in much the same way for all members of humanity.

Popular movements in the Maghreb affect every person living in this region and sometimes tragic, but they also tell us the nature of `politics'. Use this equipment to improve our own management.

Good thinking!

Michel Filion (Quebec)
